UK to US & EU Bra Size Converter
Bra sizes are labelled differently in the UK, US and Europe, which can make buying bras from international brands confusing.
Use the converter below to enter a bra size you already know and see its common UK, US and EU equivalents.
You can start with a size in any of the three systems.
Important: international size conversion gives you a useful equivalent label, but bra fit can still vary between brands and styles. US cup labels in particular are not completely standardised, so some brands may use different letters for the same cup step.

How to Convert a Bra Size Between UK, US and EU Sizing
A complete bra size has two parts: Band size + cup size
For example: 34DD
When converting between sizing systems, both parts need to be considered.
The band conversion is generally straightforward.
For example: UK 34 → US 34 → EU 75
The cup conversion becomes more important as sizes move beyond D because the UK, US and EU systems can use different letters for comparable cup steps.
For example, a common conversion is: UK 34E → US 34DDD/F → EU 75F
This is why you should convert the complete bra size, rather than simply looking at the cup letter on its own.
UK / US to EU Band Size Conversion
UK and US bra bands commonly use similar numbered labels:
28, 30, 32, 34, 36, 38…
European bra sizing uses a different numbering system:
60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85…
A common band conversion is:
UK Band | US Band | EU Band |
|---|---|---|
28 | 28 | 60 |
30 | 30 | 65 |
32 | 32 | 70 |
34 | 34 | 75 |
36 | 36 | 80 |
38 | 38 | 85 |
40 | 40 | 90 |
42 | 42 | 95 |
44 | 44 | 100 |
46 | 46 | 105 |
48 | 48 | 110 |
So if you normally wear a UK 34 band, you would commonly look for: US 34 or: EU 75 before converting the cup.
UK to US and EU Cup Size Conversion
Cup conversion requires more care because the three systems do not always use the same progression.
A commonly used international conversion looks like this:
UK Cup | Common US Equivalent | EU Cup |
|---|---|---|
A | A | A |
B | B | B |
C | C | C |
D | D | D |
DD | DD / E | E |
E | DDD / F | F |
F | G / DDDD | G |
FF | H | H |
G | I | I |
GG | J | J |
H | K | K |
HH | L | L |
J | M | M |
JJ | N | N |
K | O | O |
KK | P | P |
Why are there two possible US labels for some cups?
Unlike UK sizing, US cup naming is not completely standardised between brands.
For example, one US brand may label a particular cup step: DDD while another may call a comparable step: F.
Likewise, some brands use: DDDD where others may use: G.
That is why the converter may show alternatives such as: DDD / F instead of pretending that every US manufacturer uses exactly the same label.
When buying from a specific brand, check that brand’s own size guide if one is available.

These are useful international equivalents, but the final fit may still differ between brands.
How UK Bra Sizes Work
UK bra sizing uses an even-numbered band progression such as:
28 → 30 → 32 → 34 → 36 → 38
and a cup progression that commonly includes double-letter sizes:
A → B → C → D → DD → E → F → FF → G → GG → H → HH…
The double-letter progression is one of the main reasons UK and US cup labels begin to diverge after D.
For example: UK D → UK DD → UK E → UK F → UK FF does not necessarily use the same letters as the comparable progression on a US bra label.
If you want to understand the sizing system itself rather than simply convert a size, read our How UK Bra Sizes Work guide.
Why UK and US Cup Letters Don’t Always Match
UK and US bras may use the same band number while using different cup labels.
For example, consider a UK: 34E
The band can remain: 34 in common US sizing. But the cup may be labelled: DDD or: F depending on the US brand.
So the international equivalent may appear as: UK 34E → US 34DDD/F This does not mean that the person’s breast size has changed.
The different label comes from the way the sizing systems name the cup progression.
The same issue becomes more noticeable as cup sizes increase.
For example:
UK F → common US G/DDDD
UK FF → common US H
UK G → common US I
This is why international conversion should always consider the complete size and sizing system, not just a single cup letter.
How EU Bra Sizing Is Different
European sizing differs most obviously in the band numbers.
Instead of UK bands such as: 30, 32, 34, 36 you will commonly see: 65, 70, 75, 80
The cup progression also generally uses single letters rather than the UK system’s DD, FF and GG steps.
For example: UK 34DD commonly converts to: EU 75E while: UK 34E commonly converts to: EU 75F and: UK 34F commonly converts to: EU 75G.
The band and cup both change labels even though the converted size is intended to represent a similar starting size.

Example: Converting UK 34DD
Suppose your current size is: UK 34DD
Step 1: Convert the band
UK: 34
Common US: 34
EU: 75
Step 2: Convert the cup
UK: DD
Common US: DD / E
EU: E
Result
UK: 34DD US: 34DD / E EU: 75E
The US result includes an alternative label because different US brands may name this cup step differently.
Example: Converting UK 34E
Start with: UK 34E
Band conversion: UK 34 → US 34 → EU 75
Cup conversion: UK E → US DDD/F → EU F
So the common equivalents are: UK: 34E US: 34DDD / 34F EU: 75F
Again, check the specific brand’s size chart when buying a US-labelled bra.
Should You Convert the Band and Cup Separately?
Yes. Thinking about the band and cup separately makes international sizing much easier to understand. For example: UK 32FF First convert the band: 32 UK → 32 US → 70 EU Then convert the cup: FF UK → H US → H EU Result: UK 32FF → US 32H → EU 70H
This also helps avoid the common mistake of assuming that the same cup letter means the same thing in every sizing system.

Are Converted Bra Sizes Exact?
A conversion chart translates size labels between common sizing systems.
It cannot guarantee that two bras will fit identically.
Fit can also be affected by:
- bra construction;
- cup shape;
- band stretch;
- fabric;
- wire width;
- brand sizing;
- and individual body shape.
For example, two bras both labelled 34DD UK can still feel different if one has a firmer band or a different cup shape.
Use international conversion as a starting point, then judge the actual fit of the bra.
What If the Converted Band Doesn’t Fit?
If the cup volume seems approximately right but the band feels too tight or too loose, a sister size may be useful. Sister sizing changes the band and cup together to maintain a similar cup volume.
For example: 32DD → 34D → 36C belong to a sister-size progression.
This is different from converting between UK, US and EU systems.
Conversion changes the sizing label used for a broadly equivalent size.
Sister sizing changes the actual band-and-cup combination.
See our UK Bra Sister Sizes guide if you need to adjust the band rather than convert the sizing system.
Bra Size Conversion FAQs
Is a UK bra size the same as a US bra size?
Not always. UK and US band numbers commonly correspond directly, but the cup labels begin to differ as the cup progression increases. For example, a UK E cup may commonly be labelled DDD or F by a US brand.
What is UK 34DD in US sizing?
A UK 34DD commonly converts to approximately US 34DD/E. US cup labels can vary by brand, so check the manufacturer’s own size guide where possible.
What is UK 34DD in EU sizing?
A UK 34DD commonly converts to EU 75E. The UK 34 band corresponds to an EU 75 band, while the UK DD cup corresponds to an EU E cup in common international conversion charts.
What is UK 34E in US sizing?
UK 34E commonly converts to US 34DDD/F. Some US brands use DDD while others may use F for a comparable cup step.
What is UK 34E in EU sizing?
UK 34E commonly converts to EU 75F.
What is UK 34F in US sizing?
A common equivalent for UK 34F is US 34G, although some US brands may use an alternative label such as DDDD.
What is UK 34F in EU sizing?
UK 34F commonly converts to EU 75G.
Is UK 34 the same as EU 75?
They are commonly corresponding band sizes in international conversion charts. So: UK 34 → US 34 → EU 75 You still need to convert the cup separately.
Why does the UK have DD, FF and GG cups?
UK sizing commonly includes double-letter cup steps such as: D → DD → E F → FF → G → GG Other sizing systems may use different letters for comparable cup steps, which is why international conversion becomes particularly important above D.
Should I trust the converted size or the brand’s size chart?
Use the converter to identify the common international equivalent, but use the brand’s own size chart when available. The label conversion can be correct while the physical fit still varies between brands and bra styles.
Is converting a bra size the same as finding a sister size?
No. International conversion keeps the intended size approximately equivalent while changing the sizing system. Sister sizing changes the band and cup combination while aiming to preserve similar cup volume.
Don’t Know Your UK Bra Size Yet?
The converter works best when you already know a bra size and want to translate it into another sizing system.
If you do not know your starting UK size yet, measure your underbust and full bust and use our Bra Size Calculator UK first.
Once you have your UK starting size, return to the converter above whenever you need to compare it with US or European bra sizing.
